Hatty is a PhD researcher investigating The Impact of High Achievement Labelling and Target Grades on the Wellbeing and Self-Esteem of A-Level Students. Her research interests include student wellbeing, identity, motivation, and educational policy. Alongside her doctoral studies, she teaches A Level Business at a local sixth form and draws on previous experience in youth work, including supporting children with autism and delivering residential programmes for young people. Harriet completed her master’s degree at The University of Manchester, where her dissertation explored how Islam motivates political activism surrounding armed conflict in Palestine. Her research is informed by a longstanding interest in the relationship between identity, lived experience, and educational and social outcomes.
